help please with flight simx proxy settings

can sombody help me i am away on deployment with the RAAF in the middle east at the moment and on my off time (when i get it) would like to fly with real weather and on line but the pc geeks where i am tell me that i can but have to change my flight sim X proxy settings in the game, does any one out there now how to do that if so please help meeeee lol.
